It is broadcasted live for everyone to see and is free for the public. Last year, the Parade had more than 100 entries dazzling the streets of Downtown Las Vegas and over forty thousand people enjoying. Judging takes place at the grandstand receiving thunderous applause as the entries strut their stuff. There is a competition for parade entries vying for trophies. The Parade features Las Vegas’ gay and straight business community, nonprofit organizations, LGBT service agencies, civic groups, churches, and SNAPI’s royalty. The Parade is one of Las Vegas’ most glamorous, glittering spectacles ever created. This is the time for our community to work together as a group to honor, learn, and educate from the past while reaffirming our goals for the future. Both events serve as a great way to educate the community at large about who we are.

SNAPI’s parade and festival are a grand expression of the many facets of our local gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender community here in Las Vegas. It is the purpose of the PRIDE Night Parade and PRIDE Festival to entertain and celebrate our mission. Your support builds tremendous awareness for all Nevadans. Each year the PRIDE Celebration and Parade are not only a spectacular event for the attendee, but an amazing experience for those who assist in making it happen. Las Vegas is one of the most popular tourist destinations for the LGBT community and Las Vegas PRIDE presents a singular opportunity to attract travelers for this once-a-year event, and gain a loyal following of returning visitors, year after year. Las Vegas residents as well as tourists from the west coast and around the world join us for the events. Las Vegas PRIDE Festival is one of the few LGBT events in Nevada that attracts a very diverse audience, comprising people aged 5 to 95, men, women, and children singles, couples, families gays, lesbians, bisexuals, transgendered, and their straight allies. SNAPI is proud of their continued quest to become a more environmentally responsible PRIDE. This will prevent, potentially, thousands of pounds of recyclable materials from ever hitting the Las Vegas landfill. The organization is proud to continue its green efforts with its recycling program. One can relax on the lawn as they are entertained by the festival’s featured performers and local talents. Each year, over 100 exhibitors are welcomed. It is held in a beautiful outdoor amphitheater surrounded by soft, cool grass. LGBT families, couples, and singles along with their friends and straight allies come together for an entire day of fabulous fun. The Festival allows the celebration of diversity where everyone is welcome.
